Upcycle a jumper for Christmas!

Let your festive creativity sparkle with this fun sewing workshop for kids aged 8+. 

Bring along a plain jumper and transform it into something Christmassy! Perfect if you need something to wear for Christmas Jumper Day on Thursday 11th December.

Children will be taught some simple hand-sewing techniques to add decoration and embellishments using a wide range of textiles and haberdashery on offer. The workshop will be a perfect introduction to the idea of upcycling and repurposing things that we already own, and how we can make more sustainable choices in relation to our clothing.

All of the materials provided will be vintage, secondhand or sourced from local textiles reuse initiatives such as Forest Recycling Project, Yodomo and Renée materials.

There will be two sessions on Sunday 7th December 2025:

10am - 12pm

or 

2pm - 4pm

A snack and drinks will be provided and some festive music if the kids want! 

The sessions will be held a the One of Six studio: 259a Walthamstow High Street, E17 7BH. Please note this venue does not have step-free access. You are welcome to drop off your child at this event but please let me know if you'd like to stay with them.
